Something To Look Forward To…

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS BLOG

3 Main Topics

As a planner and lover of all things organized, I wanted to kick off this blog posting journey by clearly stating my intentions. I do not want to waste your time with topics that you are not interested in so by stating them here, I hope to inform you upfront. There are three topics that I plan on diving into with this blog: bookkeeping lessons *obviously*, work-from-home tips, and tips to start a small business. These will be things that I have learned along the way and that I wish to pass along to others. If you would like to know about other topics in this blog, please let me know in the comments.

BOOKKEEPING LESSONS

If you are like me and want to learn the skill of bookkeeping in order to provide a service, these lessons are for you! I will be answering questions that I have had while learning the skill as well as answering any questions that you leave me in the comments. I will also be sharing helpful “cheat sheets” that I have created along with templates for the different aspects of bookkeeping. Getting back to the basics is my goal for these lessons so that we can all start out from the same place – the beginning!

These lessons are also for the business owner who wants to take on his/her own bookkeeping, but doesn’t know where to begin. By leaving me your feedback, these lessons will be will audience based and easy to understand. So no accountant lingo here!

WORK-FROM-HOME TIPS

Like I said in my first blog post, working-from-home is FOR ME. I absolutely love it and have discovered some tips and tricks to making it efficient for work and still relaxing and cozy for home. Though I have thrived in my remote environment, I have felt the negative effects of working-from-home from time to time. If you have found that working-from-home is hard for you, whether it has weighed on your mental health or keeps you from focusing, these tips could help you incorporate some better habits into your routine.

TIPS TO START A SMALL BUSINESS

J Ricketts Bookkeeping is the second small business that I have started and I have learned a few things along the way that are worth sharing. If you have been wanting to start a small business, but just don’t know where to begin, this topic will be full of helpful tips to help you get started. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you!

I have to say, after writing out my plans and sharing them with you, my need to be organized and clear has been satisfied. If these topics have peaked your interest in some way, please subscribe so you know when the next blog post is available. No, I will not spam your inbox – that’s so annoying! See you in the comments!
